The following are just a few of the projects that the Green Bay Neighborhoods has produced since 1997.
Launch programs to improve neighborhood safety
We have helped neighborhoods launch programs to improve neighborhood safety, such as promoting the Community Policing program, funding the Community Service Intern program, the “Drive 25” anti-speeding campaign, and Neighborhood Watch Walks.
Leadership Training Programs
We trained neighborhood residents consistently through Leadership Training Programs.
Enhanced the Community Image
We have enhanced the community image by granting dollars for trees, flowers, community gardens, pedestrian lighting, and other beautification elements in Green Bay’s neighborhoods.
Exterior Home Improvement Loans
We have provided neighbors with exterior home improvement loans to visually enhance the neighborhood.
Educate Residents and Provide Input to City
We have encouraged neighborhood associations to educate residents and provide input to the city about zoning issues and new developments that might impact their area.
Neighborhood Association Events
We supported Neighborhood Association events through funding and our activity arsenal. eg. movie screen, popcorn popper. bingo kit
We Provided
We Provided more than $100,000 to Neighborhood Associations for Mini-Grants such as East Shore Drive’s Adopt a Ditch Program, Fireman’s Park Little Free Library collection, Schmitt Park’s Fun Fest, and Association Partnerships such as National Night Out.
Block Party Grants
We have provided Block Party Grants to hundreds of neighbors.
Public Art Pieces
We have placed eight public art pieces along the Life of the River – Public Sculpture Art Walk on the Fox River Trail, and continue to support neighborhood based art projects
Neighborhood Identification Signs
We have provided expertise and funding sources to manufacture Neighborhood Identification Signs.
